Judge Rene Sylvestre replaces Jules Cantave as President of the Cour de Cassation and CSPJ in Haiti
Haiti's Judicial power has a new president. Judge Rene Sylvestre replaced Jules Cantave as President of the Court of Cassation and the Supreme Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ).
Chief Justice Rene Sylvestre swore in as president in a ceremony held Friday, 01 October 2019, at the Cour de Cassation.
Jule Cantave was president of the Judicial power since March 2015.
Judge René Sylvestre has a carreer of more than 25 years in the judiciary until he assumed its leadership, taking the heavy responsibility to change the image of the Haitian judicial system.
