Haiti Immigration -- The Dominican Republic wants Haiti to apologize for making the Dominican government look bad over its controversial immigration immigration policy... The Dominicans refuse to resume dialogue with Haiti until a formal apology is received, a Dominican news agency reported Tuesday.

Dominican authorities have taken offense to comments made by Haitian President Michel Martelly and Foreign Minister Lener Renauld before the Organization of American States last week, when they condemned the Dominican Republic for treating Haitians inhumanely and urged the country to "come to its senses."

The Senate of the Republic of Haiti received a visit from a delegation of US Diplomats Thursday including Thomas Shannon, Counselor to U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, and Pamela White, the US Ambassador to Haiti...

"It was a courtesy visit," Haitian Senator John Joel Joseph told the media, "they seem worried about the actual political situation in Haiti"

According to Senator Joseph, the US Delegation came to get some information about what can be done to prevent the possibility of a Haiti without a senate come the second Monday of January 2015.

US Ambassador to Haiti Pamela White is asking everyone who claim they love Haiti to preach by example by actively working and contributing to its advancement, but not by tainting its image or killing the dream of the people of Haiti...

During a 4th of July celebration held in Haiti, Pamela white said:

"The very people who say they love Haiti, taint her, bloody her and make her look ragged and unloved... Why? I hear people say 'I do it for my country!'. Really??? You throw rocks and fire gunshots and refuse to negotiate for your country..."

United States Secretary of State John Kerry has notified the U.S. Congress that Haiti is taking steps to hold free and fair elections. His official statement was published in the Federal Register and includes the following statement:

I hereby certify that Haiti is taking steps to hold free and fair parliamentary elections and to seat a new Haitian Parliament; the Government of Haiti is respecting the independence of the judiciary; and the Government of Haiti is combating corruption and improving governance, including passage of the anti-corruption law to enable prosecution of corrupt officials and implementing financial transparency and accountability requirements for government institutions.

There is is currently a stand off in the process for Elections in Haiti by the end of 2014 and Patrick Nicoloso, the Ambassador of France in Haiti thinks the political actors need to find a solution in order for the People of Haiti to choose their leaders and representatives... Din't they do that in El Rancho? LOL...

"Haiti's political actors need to find a consensus to run the system. For a system that does not work, it is a system that will end in disaster. they must arrive at a solution , " ambassador Nicoloso says.
