This new eight-member committee has 24 hours to come up with the terms of reference starting Wednesday...

Among those present in the meeting that led to this decision were: Platform Verite, Pitit Desalin, a represtent of candidate Jude Celestin, Fanmi Lavalas, MAS, Pont, Platfòm Jistis, Lide, G-30, Pademh, Inite, Mosano, Reparen, Canaan, RNDDH, ISC, CONHANE, COJHIT

Here is the mission of the "commission de vérification électorale" according to a note from the National Palace:

Consult the CEP, the political parties that nominated a presidential candidate, sectors and stakeholders at primarily by the 2015 elections.
Review, based on the recommendations of the Independent Electoral Commission assessment (BICs), the various parameters of the electoral operations.
Assess the various decisions taken by the judges who sat in the departmental electoral dispute office (BEDC) and the Office of the National Electoral Counsel (BCEN).
Recommend to officials of the executive and the CEP all measures to ensure the authenticity of the results of the 2015 election to restore the confidence of stakeholders in the electoral process to continue.
