Ultimo Compere's Candidacy was rejected at first, then he was reinstated by the CEP.

Read this translation of Press release #31 of the CEP dated 27 May 2015:

The Provisional Electoral Council informs the general public and political parties in particular, that the named Ultimo COMPERE was removed from the list of approved candidates to participate in the legislative elections of 2015, for having communicated to the Council false information act which constitutes a crime under articles 209 and following of the electoral Decree.

It is understood that the CEP, while striving to ensure the strict implementation of the Electoral Decree, also invites the public to bring to its attention any information that may help to apply and enforce the Act.

As a result, the named Ultimo COMPERE's file will be referred to a competent criminal authorities for legal purposes.

The Electoral Council reiterates its determination to do everything possible to hold free, fair, inclusive and democratic elections...
