Haiti in Crisis : Core Group Divided : Should Jovenel Moise Stay or should he Go?
This was the hottest topic on Haitian radio Monday.
According to some credible news sources in Haiti, there was an important meeting that took place on Monday, September 30 at a hotel in Petion-Ville between the Core Group and leaders of the Haitian political opposition, around the current crisis in the country.
No agreement was found between the two parties Vant Bef Info reports. Representatives of the international community opt for dialogue while those of the Haitian opposition swear by the departure of President Jovenel Moïse.
It is said in the media that France and Canada agree that President Jovenel Moise should step down while The United States and Brazil wants the president to stay in power.
Core Group is composed of the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Ambassadors of Germany, Brazil, Canada, Spain, France, United States of America, European Union and Representative of the Organization of American States.
