Prime Minister Fritz Jean needed at least 60 votes, representing the absolute majority of the chamber of 119 deputes, in order to win. There were 75 deputes present during the vote. 38 voted FOR, 36 voted AGAINST with one abstention.

According to article 158 of the Haitian constitution of 1987, if the prime minister gets a vote of NO confidence by one of the 2 houses of parliament, the procedure must start over...
