Back to School Haiti: Senator Rony Celestin assists parents and Students of the Plateau Central

Many Haitian parents and students in Plateau Central Haiti received free school bags and school accessories Thursday thanks to Senator Rony Celestin.

Haitian Senator Rony Celestin distributes school bags and accessories to students in Plateau Central Haiti

Parents and student came from poor neighborhoods of the city of Hinche like Rivage, Nan Kokoye, Bois Verna, Cherival, Cite Silence gathered at the office of Senator Rony Celestin to receive school bags with goodies inside. Some of these parents are struggling to even send their children to school this year.

One of the representatives of Senator Rony confirmed that over 700 of these school kits were distributed in the city of Hinche and lots more were sent to other communes like Boucan Carre, Cerca-La-Source, Thomassique, Maissade, and Cerca-Carvajal.

The majority of the people who received these school bags wanted more," one representative said. "Some of these parents have 5, 6 kids and we could not accommodate every child in every family."

"We identified the families who are most in need," he said, "and we are planing to go deep in the communal sections as well to continue with the distribution."

De nombreux parents et étudiants haitiens du Plateau Central ont reçu des sacs d'école et des accessoires scolaires gratuitement jeudi grâce au sénateur Rony Celestin.

Des parents et des étudiants venant de quartiers pauvres de la ville de Hinche comme Rivage, Nan Kokoye, Bois Verna, Cherival, Cité Silence réunis au bureau du sénateur Rony Celestin pour recevoir des sacs d'école avec des friandises à l'intérieur.

Certains de ces parents ont du mal à envoyer leurs enfants à l'école cette année.
