RE: Haiti Election 2010Wednesday Dec 09, 2009hAITI 2010 ELECTION IS ALREADY AT THE DOOR. I find that it is way too late to ask such question. Question like that should be asked decades before for the simple reason that such event must be prepared by educating the people. What is the best way to do so other than in school. By doing so we will give to the next generations the tool they need to differenciate the bad from the good, the sold out to foreign forces from the true lover of Haiti, those who want to fillup their pocket from those who are driven only by the survival of Haiti. What happen to our " education civique" that we used to study in elementary? We need to bring it back accordily to the new era.. But this a long term job. The Haitian people has to wake up like Bouckman did with the slaves, our fathers and mothers, to regain our greatest and most unique fortume: our INDEPENDANCE. Unless the next electio provide us with such leader, the election will vain. By the way, I would like to thank the person who mommented my article of yesterday, and I'm taking the opportunity to tell him that I am a man who used to teach History back home and I am still a teacher in Canada. By for now
RE: Haiti Election 2010Wednesday Dec 09, 2009I couldn't have agreed with you more on the need for the return of a civic education for the people of Haiti. A need for knowledge of the true history of the country cannot be overstated. We have told ourselves so many fabulous stories and most of all have come to beleive in their authenticity despite the facts to the contrary. A dissociation from reality or the loss of touch from reality will eventually help cast us into a world of oblivion. It is a schizophrenic flight to deny the hard truth and to lose ourselves into the escapism of fantassy however necessary it may be to help deal with the pain of a trauma. We must pay our dues if we are to embark on the road to a resolve I
RE: Haiti Election 2010Wednesday Dec 09, 2009The alledged recent diatrod between Ex-President J.B.Aristide and current President R. Preval only serves to illustrate the quadmire we've found ourselves engulfed in since the "Revolution".If anything, what we have come to learn over the last 205 years is that what is good for Haitian Politicians and the Business owners transplanted from the world over the've moved in with is not necessarily good for Haiti. Haitian Politicians and their Chummies have consistently been mostly amoral entities that continue to build their wealth on the backs of the nation's economically challenged. It is as if for them helping the less fortunate was a form of a civil and corporate business disobedience. It is astonishing to see how out of 66 governments the Republic of Haiti has seen over the last two centuries that only two have shown themselves to be in any significant way or manner inclusive or progressive to level the playing field. We will hold our breaths again for these upcoming elections in the hope that this time our behavior will reveal necessary acts of conscience.

RE: Haiti Election 2010Friday Aug 13, 2010I know what you're saying. I agree with you. I am sure he would be the best for Haiti. But your language is the reason why the nation is scared of voting for him.
RE: Haiti Election 2010Wednesday Aug 25, 2010It's amazing to read comments from other websites, and see that there are individuals who actually think that this man rene preval and his "gang administration" are doing a good job. You are all under a spell of ignorance, how could anyone of you side with such CRIMINALS. From duvalier onto preval they have all held Haiti hostage, doing nothing for the population. Sometimes they say that it's the USA or France that has placed Haiti in such situation, yes France & the USA have a role to play in Haiti's destruction, but the different administration elected in Haiti have a bigger blame to bare concerning Haiti's condition. The US & France did not and are not forcing preval "NOT" to establish "healthcare, water system, electricy in Haiti. Those are the primary setting of a country. No, preval is a dishonest vermine with no compation for his people, I don't count him as an Haitian. For all this time that he has been in power: ***Nothing has been done during your time in power, rene preval, "VOUS ETES UNE ORDURE DE PREMIERE CLASS AINSI QUE VOS AUTRES CAMARADES."**** Before the earthquake you did nothing, and after the earthquake you will do nothing. You and your party have stolen enough from this country: SO GET THE HELL OUT OF HAITI.
RE: Haiti Election 2010Thursday Sep 02, 2010Your are so stupid. One of the problems with Haiti is the racism that exists. Instead of voting based on race, Haiti needs to vote based on who can bring true change to all Haitian citizens; regardless, of whether they are White, Mulatoes or Black.
RE: Haiti Election 2010Friday Sep 03, 2010Thanks, but i did not write my comments for no reason, i wrote according to some writers on this site who r blamning the mulattoes, they talked bad about them.Ever since 2006 elections when some of them mulattoes decided to run for office , they have been critizise harshly that i beleive is unfair cz they re not the one who has the judicial power and that's what am trying to make some of the writers understand, one nation. Most of the blks haitians needs to stop trashing out the mulattoes, we need to work together instead for a better nation and haiti would never be an indepedent nation if they were not involved. and the first who stood up against the french and against slavery was a mulatto VINCENT OGE and others. thanx
