According to crofsblogs.typepad-com on 26 July 2012, Via the Antigua Observer: A&B told to prepare for cholera.

The Dominica link will take you to a related report in the Caribbean Journal.

Health Officials have given no indication of how they would deal with a possible cholera outbreak, despite a warning from outside to take the disease seriously.

Dr Carissa Etienne, the director general of the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO), says the deadly disease has been spreading, first from Haiti to the Dominican Republic and now to Cuba.
Noting that there is regular travel between these islands and Antigua & Barbuda, Dr Etienne has advised authorities here not to underestimate the disease.
