Bahamas represents at Meeting of ABCD Filmmakers in Dominican Republic

According to thebahamasweekly.com on 20 July 2012, TheBahamas Film and Television Commission was one of the delegates participating in the II Encounter of Filmmakers from Africa, Brazil, the Caribbean and their Diasporas held July 15-18 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Countries participating included: Aruba, Angola, Bahamas, Barbados, Burkina Fasso, Cuba, Mali, Trinidad & Tobago, Egypt, Cape Verde, Senegal, Mozambique, Jamaica, Haiti, Suriname and Puerto Rico, and Guadeloupe.

The meeting focused on the mechanisms to be achieved to enable co-productions between the countries of the region and their diasporas to have more film and television products developed to be screened in member states.
