Brian you have a distorted view with the concept of civilization.

Civilized people do not execute people.

Civilized people do not frame up people and execute them to intimidating and terrorizing minorities.

When free speech, justice, political rights are given to you according to the size of your wallet, it is not civilization but the laws of the jungle.

When science is practiced without conscience to fabricate weapons of mass destruction you cannot call it civilization it is barbarism as in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya.

When science are practiced to hijack natural gift from the poor for the benefit of the rich as in the case of a corporation like Monsanto, it is gangsters not civilization
When record keeping through systematic surveillance and undercover operation like what you are doing now is utilized to oppress the majority for the benefit of 1% of the population it is not civilization it is the law of the jungle.

When homosexuality and bestiality are promoting, condoning as an alternative life style and even rewarding and enforcing in in a society it is not moral refinement nor civilization but human degeneracy.

When 1% of the population is manipulating the political system for over two centuries for their benefits it is not civilization it is the law of the jungle at is best. The sad part of it is because they induce the people to believe that they have an input in the system whereas to be a candidate you must be selected by the party first not by the people and chosen by the party means willing to work for the rich not the people.

When you drop atomic bombs on civilian population it is not civilization.

When you killed several millions around the world within a two century period through your marines and proxy dictators to expend your sphere of influence is barbarians at the gates and you are not a paragon of civilization but the prototype of an evil empire to say the least
