Surely such an insightful remark deserves another in the good intention yours was thought of and written.

YOU SAID that The constitution of Haiti is clear and states that the President chooses his prime minister in consultation with the party with the majority in parliament.

REPLY that is true to an extent.

I say true to an extent, because the the Constitution of 1987 clearly states that the President will choose his prime minister in consultation with the both leaders of both houses; being the president of the lower house or deputies who is sorel jacinthe, and the president of the uppper house or senators who is Rodolphe joazile.

YOU SAID taht in other terms, if there is an established majority, the president has the obligation to accept the prime minister proposed by the majority.

REPLY according to what you said above that is not what the Constititution of Haiti clearly states, as you said above the Constitution of Haiti is clear and states that President chooses his prime minister in consultation with the party with the majority in parliament.

You have to make up your mind whether the Constitution clearly states that President Martelly will choose his Prime Minister in consultation or whether he has the obligation to accept the prime minister propose by the majority or leaders of both the deputies and senators.

YOU SAID that our constitution, by copying the French model, missed two important facts:
1- The prime Minister is automatically connected with the parliamentary majority
REPLY It all depend on President Martelly's choice, which ultimately shculd be the choice of the people who voted for him. And, allow me this one, they voted for change from the same going nowhere and thinking nothing parliamentary majority who did nothing before or after January 12th, 2011.
YOU SAID that 2- A temporary majority may be formed to impose a prime minister.

REPLY let us hope that the President's team can in fact form a temporary majority to impose his choice, by Constitutional rights, on the majority who cares nothing for the majority of the nation.

They should by obligation to their good conscience see that to go somewhere positive you must first start thinking positiviely.

It all starts in the mind, and if the mind negatively charged then a positively charged mind must help to light up the path of that thought of destination.

A battery, my friend, has two ends with one being positive and the other negative, and no light can be seen in the flashlight unless both ends are in harmony.

Let us hope that the negative energy of the so called majority of parliament can have the insight to see the importance of Mr. Martelly positive energy and light up the way to Haiti's future; of which the destination is a brighter day. Or, they can stay in their negative majority energy and keep the majority of the nation in the dark, mentally and otherwise.

Can you see the light?

With loving respect,
Ronald Altieri
