It is wonderful to say positive things about one's country...

It is wonderful to say positive things about one's country: its beauty, its sunshine and its beaches.

But what about the history of Haitian government and Haiti's subjugation to the imperialist powers?

People who are starving, have no shelter and employment, have no police protection, have no medical care, may be glad they live in Haiti versus Russia but they are starving, have no shelter have no employment, have no police protection and have no health care. What do you think is most important?

When Haiti has a good government that cares about the people, then the people will have something positive to say about their hope for a future, instead of just dying too young in the midst of poverty and corruption in a beautiful country.
