This statement is typical of the American government.

On the one hand they state the election is a fraud only because a blind man couldn't see it. Why did they wait so long to make the statement when they knew it all along?

On the other hand, who but them and the Haitian elite, allowed the election to take place without a Lavalas representative.

I urge every Haitian to read Peter Hallward's magnificent book, Damming the Flood, about Haitian politics between 1991 and 2004. This will explain (if anyone doesn't know) who Haiti's real enemies are and I assume continue to be.

I pray for Haiti and its people every day after having visited the country.

Only God, not criminal foreign governments colluding with the criminal elite will do anything but keep the poor in slave conditions.
