As a Haitian woman, my heart told me to vote for Mrs. Manigat...

As a Haitian woman, my heart told me to vote for Mrs. Manigat but my head is telling me to vote for Mr. Baker.

Mrs. Manigat is very polished.

She is smart, well educated...Huh, Why Can't I vote for him?

Well I can't vote for a candidate on the basis of gender.

It has to be more to a candidate than that she is a woman.

Mrs. Manigat candidly said herself that the ace to fame is being a woman and that 52% of the haitian population is female.

Mrs. Manigat does not seem to have a well defined plan as to what she wants to do for Haiti once she became president.

On the other hand, Baker has a very well organized and definite plan for Haiti if he gets elected.

He is not relying on his gender to get him the coveted seat.
I am not reproaching Mrs. Manigat of her "Sorbonne" education which everyone is aware is an elitist university.

Perhaps Mrs. Manigat is too much of an intellectual to sympathize with the Haitian masses.

I failed to see where she is rallying the provinces like Mr. Baker is doing to truly understand the reality of today's Haitian problems and what to do about them.
