Haiti Presidential Polls

Alister Wm Macintyre - October 1 2010, 10:28 PM

I am aware of FOUR different outfits (so far) which are organizing polls of Haiti Presidential candidates.

The results are sometimes quite different.

Possible reasons for this:

Some polls are conducted by Internet.

Access to this might be impractical by poorest members of Haitian society.

Who watched the Sep-18 Presidential Candidate debates; saw other actions by candidates.

For example, some are touring the tent city camps, checking on the problems, while some were active helping the people before the election campaign season.

Haiti Libre comes out with weekly results, and links to prior week results.

www.brides.ht conducted what might be the most extensive polling, including which candidates are most popular in each of the departments and major cities of Haiti, by age group and other criteria.

Mwen Konte put the polling results into a pie chart, which is probably the easiest way to compare who is ahead.

The 4th place I will have to share in a later post, because maximum URLs per post here is three (3).

I have copied results from all of these into an Excel which I update periodically, then post to Haiti Rewired, Yahoo HDRR, and other places.
