Mon cher Jean Pierre, I strongly believe that you are a good or excellent human being.

You have a great heart and it's speaking for you.
About your suggestion, it is suicidal.

You can expose these opportunistic people/ thieves, if you wouldn't want to go back there sooner.

If you look into public opinion, Martlly's site you w'd fine the truth about an imbecile whose judge of Gressier, he is from Leogane, this criminal is not a lawer, doesn't know anything about laws. He is a tenth grader, an alcoholic, his name is franklin montinat.

This thief's selling the office of titulaire judge of Greessier for any price.

This mf keep innocent young men under a tente at the Gressier commissariat for weeks with handcuffs attached on a steel bed/chair until that he got money from their famillies.

He freed killers for little money and the money is shared amongs the inspector of police and his friends/protectors at the Parquet, of Port-au-Prince.

A policeman just opened a little store with the help of his in-laws in the US. One of his neighbors broke in the store at night.

The policeman found the thief and arrested him. montinat took money from the thief and released him. The policeman was very angry about the judge's decission, for that the policeman was transfered to another commissariat.

These thieves are still in charge of Gressier.

I believe that they have the blessings of Martelly.

What's president Martelly's waiting for to reform the judiciary dept/system?

I strongly believe that the tonton macoutes have returned in Haiti.

Every body forgets the abuses, the suffrances, the pain inflicted on them by the duvaliers and the tonton macoutes.

Now they have returned and the Haitien people are very happy about their return.

C'est la debarque, sauf qui peut!

Thanks Jean
Best regards,

Jean Pierre, dignity, prestige and integrity are no more Haiti's attributes than it is the attributes of other countries.

21st century men and women have been alienated to the point of making these words: dignity, integrity and prestige pointless.

However, a system that makes people behave or else is of utmost importance.

The difference between Haiti and other countries is IMPUNITY on a much larger scale.

The time when people used to say "I gave you MY WORD" does not exist anymore.

We are strictly on cash and carry or show me the money era. You know, give me the goods, I will give you cash. No credits given here, because there is no TRUST.

We must not get discourage, we must continue working for find viable solutions.

one, respe pou wou tou Monel.

Bill Clinton no matter how much he could or he would do for Haiti can never qualify him to be president of Haiti.

On the other hand, Michel Martelly was born in Haiti and at least has one parent who is natif natal is a totally different story.

True, Haiti has not accepted multiple nationalities yet. But this is something we should have scrutinized before he became president.

We have too many problems we need to attend to. Focusing on such issue in nonproductive.

Haiti is an overweight country when its come to corruptions, period.

Dignity is no more, principal is no more, patriotic is no more, prestige is no more, discernment and the value of integrity is no more.

Marjorie Middy, Haiti is a disengage country even in the basic way of human life and behavior.

Haitians are stiff-necked people with their hearts sets for destruction.

I never meet an Haitian for the past 2 years willing to see Haiti as a perfect nation,"meaning" these people i spoke with for the past 2 years are mostly people involve with politics or within the government past and present.

I am a confuse man, that is the truth; It's a shame, but i am.
I don't see our deliverance yet or the way out of this situation.

We have options to clear all the problems.

The quicker way is not easy in the eyes of the soft ones.
If we are waiting for time, maybe another 1000 years.

For what i see in Haitians now, forget it.

One respe pou wou bel fanm

Marjorie middy, do you think if Bill Clinton was done a good job in Haiti, he could be president.

I don't think so, my answer is no matter what anybody can do better for Haiti, if they have another nationality, we cannot accept a foreign citizen as president this country.they could do so, if our constitution allowed that.
In this case, I'm not agree with you when you asked question, why do we have to be bothered about multiple nationalities.

I think if Mr. Martely and any others in this government have another nationality they have to leave, because it's not appropriate with our nation mother's laws.
I know Mr. martely has the good intention to do something for Haiti like you've mentioned that in your posting, but it's a rule. I hope this is not the case, because Haiti not ready for a new crisis .

Anpil respek pou wou bel fanm.

Haiti is not ready for business, granted.

But if we don't collaborate to help with corruption and the political stabilization of the country, Haiti will never be ready to open up its door for business.

Michel Martelly has already been elected president of the country, why do we have to be bothered about his multiple nationalities or the lack thereof for that matter.

We got better fish to fry. Haiti needs to move forward.

We need to select our battles.

We need to give Haiti a sense and an image of political strength and peace.

I believe you should expose these people by spreading their names around.

Don't give up without a fight.

It will takes time.
Haiti need cleaning of these parasites.

Believe me, if you cap only one, the rest will stay away from you.

Haiti is not ready for business.

I went to Haiti with the idea to build and opening a nursing home, like the at Rt freres.

I found judges, police officers and others asking me for money, so they can open their own businesses.

They didn't care about my project, my intention and my idea. All it's about themselves.

It's very scary for businessmen/ investors's life. If you don't give those gun men what they want, they would plot against you and kill you. Haiti is not a safe place yet, for anyone to go opening a business.

Some people are more lucky than others.

I wish them the very best with their lives.

I had my own experiences.

May God Bless Michel Martelly and keep him safe.
Thank you very much!

Tiba, where have you been, my friend?

I have been preaching exactly what you said for months now; except that airports and national roads or high ways normally are built by governments as you said. But smaller roads leading to highways can be built by private citizens.

Yes, I am not as courageous as you are. I got as far as the Dominican Republic but did not have the stomach yet to make it to Haiti.

It is too emotionally devastating to me. I do know one thing.

We have got to keep going.

I also know lots of money have been donated for the construction of roads, agriculture, education, entrepreneurship and tourism.

Check with the the Bush and Clinton funds for more info and the exact amount.

Also Spain has donated money to Haiti.

Now more than ever is the time for Haiti to turn around.

The money donated is conditional upon Haiti remains a "Safe" place, meaning conducive to business.

What we need is more Government stability more than anything else.
Other countries do have more crimes than Haiti.

But Haiti has more impunity than others just because they considered the GOVERNMENT unstable.

So far, most countries have electricity and other utilities run by private business.

It is not a governmental project.

They do have monopolies in the United states and is very much protected by the Government, like for example "Time Warner" for phone, television, faxes, and computer services; "Central Hudson" for Heat and Electricity services.

They are very well protected and insulated from free market and competitiveness ....

No blame involved here. In a mature society, the protection of an existing commercial business elite is a MUST.This is one sure way of preventing political chaos.

Perceived Political chaos is what killing Haiti right now, not crimes per se. Other countries like Mexico, Jamaica to name a few have higher crime rates than Haiti.

The money is there, we just need to keep the government working and in order to move our beloved Haiti forward.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Ayibobo

Bernadette,

I hear you but it's not that simple!

I just got back from Haiti last month from a 2-week vacation and I can tell you that I cannot repeat what I saw.

We can live in denial all we want or just continue to make a big fool of ourselves to the rest of the world.

As a people, our problem is that we do NOT have big dreams and big aspirations.

We always think small.

In Haiti history, I have never heard nor witness any "BIG" projects undertaken by the government whether is a big project of drinking water, or electricity, or road, etc. etc...

that would capture the haitian people attention let alone the world's.

Infrustracture in any country has always been government's project.

Hatians need to walk away from this fantasy to think that the Brandt family will build roads in Haiti or electrify the country.

The Jimmy Carter Blvd. in Atlanta, the M. L. King Blvd, and many miles of roads in this country that named after these people, were not build or financed by them. The government built those roads and named them after those people in recognition for their work/contribution, etc..

Bush did not pay to build The Bush International Airport in Houston, President Kennedy did not spend his own money to build JFK Airport in New York, the government did and named it after him.

There most be preparations done like building hotels, clean up the beaches, clean up the streets, etc..before inviting tourists in Haiti.

The government must provide electricity, a sound communication system, etc..

before open Haiti for business.

There must be at least basic infrustractures ready to handle the business of the day before investors would come and build factories, etc..

and create jobs.

While the government is approaching investors with the slogan "show me the money", the investors, in turn, keep asking the Haitian people and their government "where is the beef." We, Haitians keep asking investors to come, and the investors keep asking us where is the infrustrature for their business.

No faxing can be done through cell phone yet.

Hope you got my drift.
