This is to answer my Mirlande friends.

ALL ABOUT GARAUDY LAGUERRE

• in 1999, Garaudy Laguerre opened The INSTITUTE FOR ADVANCED SOCIAL AND POLITICAL STUDIES (ISPOS) with the support of the Norwegian and Swedish governments.

For the past 10 years, he has served as Executive Director of that initiative.

During his ten years of leadership,

o ISPOS has trained close to ten thousand political cadres, mainly youth and women.

o ISPOS was responsible for the electoral code of conduct in 2005 and the pact of govern ability.

o More importantly, Mr. Laguerre conceived and oversaw the formation of the convention of political parties in 2006.

o Mr. Laguerre provided solutions out of every crisis that has hit Haiti.

His skills are recognized by both the national and international community, including the U.N.

• He studied both in Haiti and in the United States.

He has a Masters degree in International Relations from Long Island University and a Bachelor of Law from Faculte de Droit et des Sciences Economiques d'Haiti.

• He has worked as a diplomat representing Haiti at the U.N. and different countries such as Norway; Sweden, the U.S., Canada etc.

• Later, Mr. Laguerre spent a year in the Haiti Embassy in Washington, as a member of the cabinet of the ministry of foreign affairs.

• He has been a professor of International Relations at INAGHE University, and still lectures.

• Mr. Laguerre has a Law Firm: LAGUERRE & ASSOCIATES.

• He has also founded the WOZO movement.

• He has been a professor of International Relations at INAGHE University, and still lectures there periodically.

He also worked as professor of international relations at the University of Haiti, pro bono for two years.

He also supports two community schools in Haiti by teaching also on a pro bono basis.

• He is young, charismatic and knowledgeable, and has a life experience of political and social activism.

• He is well respected amongst his peers both in the political, social and economic spheres.

• His leadership capacity is unquestionable; his love for his country is proven.

His vision is inspiring!

• But most importantly, Mr. Laguerre is a rare and true believer that Haiti has a bright future ahead of itself, if it can get the right leadership with the necessary vision and courage.

He has worked tirelessly to make things better and more cooperative amongst the different sectors of the establishment in Haitian society.
