About the list There were many Haitian news sites saying that there is a total of 34 candidates registered with the Haiti's Provisional Electoral Council (CEP). The CEP released 34 candidate; however, when we combined the lists, we came up with 38 total Candidates.
So we list them all here.
The official list of Haitian presidential candidates was supposed to be released on August 17 once the nine-member provisional electoral council (CEP) announced who was eligible but the process was delayed until late Friday, August 20th, 2010 So, every name above marked "CEP Approved" are the only ones who will participate in the 2010 Haitian general elections.
