This news came in after the women's group she represent asked her to resign from the CEP.
Yollette Mengual was accused or taking money from candidates at the Electoral litigation bureau (BCEN) in order to swing the vote their way. Madame Mengual say this is a lie and she plans to fight it at the highest level.
Note that Yolette Mengual did NOT resign from the CEP, she only decides to suspend all CEP activities for the time being.
