Haiti abstains on vote to suspend Venezuela's OEA Membership - Trump will not be happy!

Despite pressure from the United States, Haiti was one of 11 countries who abstained on the vote to suspend Venezuela's membership from the Organization of American States (OAS/OEA).

Although the resolution was passed as 19 member states of the OAS general assembly voted in favor, four against and 11 abstained, the United States was really looking for a vote by two thirds of the member states to kick Venezuela out of OEA.

This news is the talk of the town in Haiti. Many journalists raise the question how will this affect Haiti's relationship with the United States.

I must tell you that I rate Maduro very high on the dictators list.
Venezuela was the richest country in Latin america in the seventies.

I lived there in 1974-75. Then the price of oil plummeted, as you know, and the country stopped being Numero uno. Then Chavez took control, passed on the baton to Maduro, the country, from what I know, is the poorest in South America.

In spites of all the pressures from the international bullies, and all the shortcomings of Haiti, I'm so glad Haiti decided to do the right thing by not throw Ingrid Venezuela under the bus..

Stealing someone's else natural resources is not the proper way to conduct international business.
