Senateur Rony Celestin stands against wealthy people in Haiti who prefer to finance street protests than pay taxes
According to the Senator, these people prefer to uproot a democratically elected president then to pay their fair share of taxes.
Listen to the AUDIO here:
"Then they start running all over social media trying to manipulate public opinion," Senator Rony Celestin said, "trying to make people understand things that don't even exist, things they will never see in their lifetime, just to avoid paying taxes."
That's why the middle class no longer exist in Haiti, you are either rich or poor, he said.
"Nèg isit tro mechan!" (these guys are criminals), he said. "While they are telling the people 'we are on your side', they are the same ones who don't want to pay the people."
According to Senator Rony Celestin, these same rich people are imposing themselves and scaring President Jovenel Moise.
He asked the president, "Nèg sa yo, fok ou mete sentiron w nan senti w pou w mare yo." (you have to be tough SOB to deal with them)
