President Jovenel speaks to the MAD Mayors of Haiti, very mad for promises not kept
Each town hall in Haiti were promised a vehicle but only 10 out of more than 100 vehicles were delivered. The mayors were almost in the point of booing the president when he started speaking at the
First congress of the National Federation of Mayors of Haiti (FENAMH) Monday, October 29, 2018.
The event was held at Cine Triomphe in Port-au-Prince.
"For about a year," President Jovenel said, "the central government launched the process to equip each town hall with an all-terrain vehicles (he is talking about a 4X4)"
All mayors screamed "Ohhhhhhh!!!!"
"Unfortunately," the president continued, "I know that only the head of the federations have already received these vehicles. that means out of 140 town halls, 130 still have no vehicles."
"That's why I am asking the mayors to work harder..."
After that, the room was so polluted with noise you could barely hear the speech of the president.
