Haiti in Crisis - Core Group met with Haitian political party leaders in secret meeting

After meeting with various members of the opposition, The Core Group met certain political party leaders including two former candidates for president of Haiti in a secret meeting Wednesday.

Here is the list of the political leaders who were present:

  • Eric Jn Baptiste, RDNP
  • Liné Balthazard, PHTK
  • Clarens Renois, UNIR-Haiti
  • Jean Gué, Platform VERITE

After the meeting, one of the participants in the meeting told Haitian newspaper Le Nouvelliste:

"The most influential ambassadors accredited to Haiti took part in this meeting, but all that has been said must remain confidential, that's what we promised."
