Haiti Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe Receives Barry University Award

Haitian Prime Minister Laurent will be visiting Barry University, his alma mater, in South Florida this Saturday to receive the "Barry University distinguished alumni award."

According to Barry University officials this award honors alumni who have "distinguished themselves through significant achievement."

Prime Minister Lamothe is a graduate of Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida with a degree in political science back in 1996.

Lamothe tells the Miami Herald...

"I am very proud to receive this prestigious award from my alma mater... Barry shaped the person I am today and I am very grateful."

i am proud of all my Haitian brothers and sisters who are doing well academically, especially, on an international platform.

Thanks to the almighty God who has given to them the wisdom and knowledge which helped the to break that thick ceiling.
