"The assailant never mention my name", Guy Philippe said on radio SCOOP FM, until a journalist mentioned it.

Guy Philippe also said that Remy Teleus, the assailant who was almost forced to mention his name, he is now dead.

According to Guy Phillipe, President Privert and his government are trying to create drama to hide their ulterior motives.

I don't believe that the country, in its majority, is ready for another 2004. A rebel will remain a rebel but common wisdom dictates that today's conditions are quite different from 2004's. Armed uprisings will not help the country and should have learned a lot from past failures.

While there are many factions that are well armed and ready to kill their fellow countrymen, at the end we will all be worse off. We need Peaceful means to resolve our conflicts and not those crazy attacks.
