On his Facebook page, Laurent Lamothe wrote:

I salute the courage and determination for the people of Haiti for coming out to vote during the 25 October 2015 elections.

The vote of the people sends out a great lesson of democracy to all political actors. By casting a vote to elect a candidate, by rejecting violence, it is a great victory for the people over the dark forces.

Lamothe also said he hopes the final votes counts reflect the will of the people...
