It was reported over the weekend on Haitian Radio that talks of a government of transition have begun behind the scenes in the Haitian political hallways... Former US Ambassador Kenneth Merten's name was mentioned...

Tamara Orion of Radio Signal FM reported Saturday that some Haitian politicians have already prepped up their fancy robes, others their suits, because the transition cannot happen without them....

Signal FM also said former US Ambassador to Haiti Kenneth Merten, now the new Special Coordinator for Haiti at the State Department, has been making consultations with President Michel Martelly, with Prime Minister Evans Paul, with Haitian politicians and key people in the private sector in matters related to the upcoming elections; however, in the back alleys of politics, the potential for a government of transition is being discussed.

Some names have even been mentioned as to who will lead the country should a government of transition be installed...
