Gary Bodeau says: Deputes will not be intimidated by other sectors who want to bum-rush PM Henry Ceant's Government
Haiti Prime Minister Jean Henry Ceant and Depute President Gary Bodeau
Lately, the Deputes and Senators have been told to not to intervene in the choice of Ministers, Secretaries of State and and Director Generals in the formation of new government but Gary Bodeau warns "we will not be pressured by anybody."
"If a member of the private sector want control of Customs (La Douanne) why can't one of the sons of the people (pitit pep la) have that control as well?" Gary Bodeau said. "If the private sector wants to control the airport, why can 'pitit pep la' have control of it as well?"
"Members of Parliament is being threatened to stick to their jobs, that parliament should not interfere with the formation of government. These threats come from sectors that want to invade the State so they can find lucrative contracts. They don't want us to have control of 100 million dollar contracts or gas entering the country."
