Haiti - Aristide Summons was Hand Delivered by Bailiff Romual Grand Pierre

Former Haiti president Aristide and his layers say then did not receive the summons to appear in court Wednesday however, Bailiff (Huissier de Justice) Romual Grand Pierre admist to making the delivery at Tabarre, at the residence of President Aristide... With some difficulty but delivery was made...

Romual said he attempted to serve President Aristide with the summons but he was stopped by 4 presidential guards (USGPN) at the gates.

He later called Aristide's lawyer Mario Joseph who promised to make contact within 5 minutes.

20 Minutes later, after he did not receive a phone call back from the lawyer, Mr. Romual said handed the summons to a man in a wuite Toyota who was entering the gates of president Aristide's residence.

He said he waited at least 15 minutes to make sure the man did not leave immediately...

So one thing is for sure the summons did enter the resident of president Aristide. Romual Grand Pierre said, according to the law, he could have left it under a rock at the gates.
