In times like this, someone has to take the fall and the Prime Minister is like a "fuse" to protect the president. The crisis is not supposed to reach the president, says a radio commentator on a popular radio station in the Haitian capital.

According to Haitain newspaper Le Nouvelliste, Petion-Ville depute Jerry Tardieu and other Deputes of the pro-government majority think it is best if Prime Minister Lafontant is outta here...

Should the Prime Minister not hear reason and persists in remaining in office despite evidence that he is increasingly overwhelmed by the events and unable to lead in serenity, the depute of Petion-ville asks to the president of the Chamber of Deputies Gary Bodeau to resume the interpellation cession of the Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant Monday, July 9, 2018, to allow the deputes to decide his fate.

What do you think about that?
