Haiti Senator Andris Riche Call Court of Auditors to reconsider decision not to issue Clearance Certificates to potential Candidates

Haiti senate president Andris Riche is asking the judges at the Superior Court of Auditors (la cour supérieure des comptes) to reconsider their decision not to issues clearance certificates (decharge) to former state Ministers and officials administering government money who want to be candidates in the upcoming elections...

According to Senator Riche this is the only way to prevent the President Martelly and his government from issuing clearance certificates by decree to all its partisans who want to gain power in these elections.

"I would like Cours des Comptes to focus on the reality of this country," Andris Riche said, "Today, unfortunately, parliament does not exist, meaning the bicameral commission does not exist... I would really like the Court to come up with a decision on the case of those who want clearance to participate in the elections, especially those who did not show signs of corruption during their administration"

The court of auditors has to find a way because no one should suffer for the nonexistence of parliament, Senator Riche said.
