Brazil to Train 200 for the New Haitian Army Corps of Engineers

The New Haitian Army is about to grow in numbers... NOT in fire power but in Brain power... Brazil and Haiti have just signed an accord Thursday, 29 May 2014, whereby Brazil will train 200 Haitian youths in Military Engineering (French: Genie Militaire). Once they graduate, their task will be to build roads, bridges and infrastructure, also to respond to the future Natural disasters in Haiti...

These 200 new Haitian Military engineers will be an addition to the 41 Haitian army engineers and technicians currently stationed at Petite Rivière de l'Artibonite. Word in the street is "team 41" is already involved in some road constructions in the country.

Duly Brutus, Haiti's Minister of Foreign affairs, and Celso Amorim, the minister of Defense of Brazil, signed this agreement at the National Palace in Haiti in the presence of Haitian president Michel Martelly.

"I am glad to see that Brazil is involves in issues that are priorities for the State (l'Etat Haitien)..." Haitian President Martelly said, "this new [Haitian military enginering] force will help us rebuild our country and save lived in case of a natural disaster..."

On a personal note, I hope to see this new Haiti Army corps of engineers, grow to become a "Sir, YES Sir" kind of group when it comes to building Haitian roads and bridges. I kind of feel that if rebuilding infrastructure in Haiti is carried out as an ORDER, it will be done in time and effectively.

I hope they will not turn against Président Martelly-Lamothe like leopard have done to Prosper Avril, I hope the same Haïtien's army don't re-open the blood's reservoir.

I hope the same will not turn in manifestation to destroy Haïti.

All I want for Haïti is a future, I believe that, Canada-US have army, maybe every single country have army, but I don't understand what's going on about Haïti, we really need an army to work with the Haitian's police and Minustha to fix Lavalas's party, Unité, and opposition.
