Fight against banditry in Haiti, Police can now search vehicles with OF and SE license plates
It is no secret in Haiti that gang leaders and bandits are circulating in official vehicles of politicians and high ranking officials which cannot be stopped by police. Well, not anymore!
La Primature, the office of new Haitian Prime Minister Jean Michel Lapin, has just released a note asking high ranking officials in Haiti to allow the police to look inside their vehicles.
See the official note here from La Primeture to all high ranking officials: Haiti : Note from La Primature - Official and State Licence plates must stop at police checkpoints
So now, Haitian Police (PNH) can now stop vehicles with OF (Officiel) and SE (Service de l'Etat) license plates and demand to take a look inside of these vehicles.
Now the question: Will these arrogant "gwo tonton chefs" comply?
