Haiti - Senator Jean Baptiste Bien-Aime wants President Privert to STAY in power until elections are held

"President Privert does NOT have a [120 days] mandate," Haitian Senator Jean Baptiste Bien-Aime said, "He [Privert] has a mandate to organize elections... The National Assembly will decide, IF there is a national assembly..."

KREYOL: Haiti - Senatè Bien-Aimé di: Privert pa gen manda pou 120 jou, Privert gen manda pou li òganize elections... Si yon moun panse Privert dwe kite pouvwa a le 14 Juin, moun sa pa renmen peyi a... Kisa ou panse de sa???

Senator Bien-Aime wants Privert to remain in power past his 120-day mandate to complete the elections scheduled to begin in October 2016. Jean Baptiste Bien-Aime wants his colleagues to convene in National Assembly in order to prolong Privert's mandate...

According to the senator, if Privert is forced to leave office, it's like we are starting from ZERO, something the senators and his opposition colleagues like to call a "katchouboumbe politique."

"If anyone is seriourly thinking that president Privert should leave on June 14, that means we will start from zero and we're going to waste another two years," Senator Bien-Aime says. "ONLY a person who dislikes country will think like that," he said.
