CEP Spokesperson Nicole Simeon told the Haitian media:

for now, only only the Respè party leader, Charles Henri Baker, has formally informed the CEP of his decision not to participate in the elections. He had already discussed this at the meeting of the members of the electoral body with representatives of political parties at the time of the presentation of the electoral calendar."
