Martelly, by inviting the other ex-presidents living in Haiti, has made an unprecedented step in the right direction.

I mean, no other Haitian president before him had done that. I hope it stays like that from now on, and others after him follow this example.

It's time Haitians stop asking their leaders to leave the country during or after their service.
