Haitian-Dominicans - No mass deportations, Dominican President Medina says
Dominican Republic president Danilo Medina promises that there will be no mass deportations of Haitians-Dominicans...
Medina, according to an official note, globalpost.com says, gave that assurance to New York state legislators Adriano Espaillat, of Dominican origin, and Phil Ramos.
So far, the Dominican Republic said that there are going ahead with the decision de-naturalize anyone born in the Dominican Republic after 1929 of parents who were "in transit". the majority who wall into that category are Haitian-Dominicans.
The fate of these soon to be none-Dominicans are yet to be determined.
