Haiti - Installation ceremony of 10 new Judges of the Superior Court of Auditors

Haiti President Michel Martelly conducted the installation of ten (10) new Judges of the Cour Supérieure des Comptes et du Contentieux Administratif (CSCCA) this Monday, April 7, 2014... "You have a heavy responsibility to ensure consistency, efficiency and effectiveness of the use of public funds," President Martelly said during the installation...

The president was accompanied by Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, President of the Conseil Supérieur, Pouvoir Judiciaire Anel Alexis Joseph and the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Mr. Stevenson Jacques Thimoléon.

These 10 new judges are: Nonie Henriette Mathieu, Jean Ariel Joseph, Arol Elie, Marie France H. Mondésir, Pierre Volmar Demesyeux, Saint-Juste Momprévil, Méhu Mélius Gaston, Fritz Robert Paul, Neltha Marie Féthière and Rogavil Boisguene.

According to a news release by the communications bureau or the president, The installation of these new Judges to the CSCCA clearly reflects the unwavering commitment of President Martelly to move the country towards modernity and progress.

The Head of State will support the work of this independent institution which is responsible for administrative and judicial review of revenue and expenditure of the State Audit of accounts of state enterprises and local authorities to name a few..
