Preval And Celestin's INITE Party Headquarters Set On Fire!
We first learned about this early this morning when a visitor posted on our message board "They set fire to headquarters of current President Preval. Please verify the news."
We asked for a link to confirm to news... but we didn't look into it because at the time since there was so much going on... We monitoring Haitian radio to see if the news would come in.
By 3pm this afternoon, it was all over the international news media.
RTT News reports...
"Protesters enraged by the result of the recently concluded presidential elections in Haiti have set fire to the headquarters of the ruling INITE party in capital Port-au-Prince on Wednesday, according to local reports."
BBC News say...
"Thousands of people have taken to the streets of Port-au-Prince, accusing the ruling party of rigging the vote in favour of its candidate, Jude Celestin...
...Demonstrators have set fire to the headquarters of Haiti's ruling party, amid large-scale protests against the results of presidential elections"
All day there have been reports that protestors were around burning government buildings. Then suddenly there was a report that the mob was heading in an area of the capital that had the radio host wondering and asking his street reporters if there were any government offices in that area...
I guess they were heading to the INITE party headquarters!
Hmmmm... Se gro koze!

people like you don't think stupid why would you want them to burn Preval and Celestin, this why Haiti lost it respect fram other is because people like you who come to the United States and forget where you come fram. The building that they burn down is not for Preval and Celestin it is for the haitian look at your self think befor you say something
This election is clearly exposed as fraud.
The people knows it, Preval admitted it and the international community witnessed it. But I don't aggree with the burning of political party's property.
We, as a nation, need to learn to resolve our issues in a civil manner.
They know very clearly what to do in order to satisty the Haitian people.
Preval and Jude have nobody beside their friends and some family members with them. As I said before the haitian people are tired with them and are ready for change.
The people know very well that they didn't vote jude. I do believe that if they want to stop all the demonstrations they have to respect the will of the haitian people.
Just don't give preval the chance to leave the country nor to live at all. If he gets away this time, celestin also
