President Jovenel: I do not receive Per Diem for my travels throughout Haiti

" I do not get paid any per diem for my trips." Haitian president Jovenel Moise made it very clear to the people in Haiti who think he is racking up Per Diem every time he travels throughout Haiti.

"Let me make it very clear to everyone watching: Mwen pa touche Per Diem pou soti ke m fè yo -- I do not get paid any per diem for my trips -- After 19 months in office, the president has never received per diem for all his trips across the country."

However, the president explained, when he goes out, there is an army of people who accompany him.

President Jovenel answered this question and more in an TV interview he gave to Tele Metropole 19 months after he assumed office.
