The UN appoints Harvard Law School graduate Susan D. Page as Head or MINUJUST in Haiti

After MINUSTAH, led by Sandra Honoré from Trinidad and Tobago, the United Nations Security Council has appointed an American woman this time, Susan D. Page, as head of MINUJUSTH, the new UN Mission for Justice Support in Haiti.

Susan D. Page is a Harvard Law School graduate. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Harvard Law School and a degree in English with high distinction from the University of Michigan.

The UN said Susan D. Page brings to her new position extensive managerial and leadership experience in diplomacy, international development and the rule of law.

She held the position of Senior Adviser in the Office of the United States Special Envoy for Sudan and South Sudan and served as United States Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs.

Her United Nations experience includes positions as Director of the Rule of Law Advisory Unit in the United Nations Mission in the Sudan (UNMIS) and Senior Legal Adviser for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Sudan and in Rwanda.

She will be one of the best things to hit Haiti.

She is a cyclone of leadership and knows how to empower people to do their best. She certainly knows how to make clear cut decisions that benefit the population rather their pockets.

Hopefully this is a beginning of the type of leadership that is needed in Haiti.'Now let's get some better leadership of the female persuasion at the US Embassy In Haiti.

Après la MINUSTAH dirigée par Sandra Honoré de Trinité-et-Tobago, le Conseil de sécurité des Nations Unies a nommé cette fois une Américaine, Susan D. Page MINUJUSTH, la nouvelle Mission des Nations Unies pour l'appui à la justice en Haiti.

L'ONU a déclaré Susan D. Page apporte à son nouveau poste une vaste expérience de gestion et de leadership dans la diplomatie, le développement international et la primauté du droit.

Son expérience des Nations Unies comprend des postes de Directrice de l'Unité consultative sur l'état de droit de la Mission des Nations Unies au Soudan (MINUS).
