Petionville Police Commissioner Gospel Monélus shot and wounded during an operation
The police chief of Petionville Haiti, Commissioner Gospel Monélus was shot and wounded during an operation in Delmas 95 Monday night.
According to several news sources, the police commissioner and his troops were patrolling the area and removing old tires in the streets ahead of the October 17 street protests when they were fired upon by unknown individuals.
Commissionaire Jean Gospel Monélus was shot in the arm around 2:00am and he was rushed to the hospital.
