Haiti: Gabriel Fortuné says Don Kato killed journalist Jacques Roche

"How can Don Kato who 'ate' Jaqcues Roche, living with inpunity enter in a police station to release bandits? No one in the media say anything about that," Gabriel Fortuné says.

"Kato was not supposed to be Senator because he killed Jacque Roche. This is the expression of the failures of this society, he is now walking into a police station to release bandits any yet he has not answered for the murder of Jaques Roche," Fortuné said.

Jacques Roche was a Haitian journalist and editor for journal Le Mati and a host of a TV show in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

Jacques Roche was kidnapped on July 10, 2005, tortured and killed during a wave of abductions carried out before elections.

Roche was affiliated with Group of 184 and an opponent of Jean-Bertrand Aristide and his Fanmi Lavalas political party and pro-Lavalas were suspected of carrying out his murder.
