Incident in Gros-Morne Haiti while First Lady Martine Moise was distributing money
Radio Vision 2000 reports... Haitian First Lady Martine Moise was in Gros-Morne Thursday in the Artibonite department distributing money when a local resident was injured as a result of the scuffle.
Everyone wanted their own "billets de 1000 gourdes" and some people were willing to fight for it.
A politician once said a 1000 gourdes bill in Haiti is like a paycheck to many people.
The first lady went to Gros Morne in the aftermath of the earthquake that hit the area on October 6 2018.
