According to Senator JAKITO, the majority group took over all the seats within senate bureau, they hold no senate hearings unless it is in their best interest, and the only meet outside of the senate floor.
Nowadays, the majority senators are trying to get quorum in order to elect one of their own, again, to fill up the vacant seat left by senate president Jocelerme Privert who became president of the Republic and they accuse the minority of blocking the process, Senator Jean said.
The Senate minority refuse to give quorum unless the office they share the responsibilities of the senate office. It is not fair that one group get all 5 seats in the senate office, making all the decision, while another group is left out to dry, the senator said.
Unless there is a consensus inside the senate, they wont even be able to vote for a new senate president.
What do you think about that?
