FLASH: Haiti PM Fritz Michel Ratification Session scheduled for this Monday, Senate President said

In a tweet late Sunday, Senate President Carl Murat Cantave announced the ratification session of Prime Minister Fritz William Michel will take place this Monday, September 23, 2019, no matter what.

"Contrary to rumors that the ratification session was scheduled for Sunday, the ratification session of PM Fritz William Michel and his government is scheduled for this Monday, September 23, 2019 at 8am," President Cantave said in one Tweet.

"Significant and necessary steps will be taken to hold the meeting tomorrow. Only accredited journalists with their accreditation card will have access to the Senate chamber this Monday, September 23, 2019." This tweet that followed came from the Chef de Communication of President Cantave, which Cantave retweeted.

"I promise you whatever the outcome of the scheduled ratification session, I will take my charge with courage, expertise, know-how to carry out the heavy task that you, senators, have entrusted to me," President Carl Murat Cantave said.

In the mean time, senators of the opposition were at the Senate Sunday standing guard to make sure nothing goes unnoticed.
