The CEP employee was shot when individuals fired several times on his vehicle, according to an article on HaitiLibre.com

"The Council condemns and strongly protests against such aggression and therefore requests the competent authorities to find and punish according to the law, with extreme rigor, all the perpetrators, co-perpetrators and accomplices to this offense"

The Council which reiterates its determination to do everything possible to hold elections "free, fair, inclusive and democratic," invites the authorities to take "all measures deemed necessary to protect its employees and property"
