Haiti Elections - Evaluation Commission Submit their Report to President Martelly

Haiti Elections Update - The independent commission to evaluate the recent elections has submitted their report to President Michel Martelly. According to the media's summary of the report, it findings reveal many irregularities in the elections but the election process will continue regardless.

The commission said in the report that the Electoral Council (CEP) "no longer has the credibility to permit it to continue with the process without plunging the country into a more serious crisis" according to he Miami Herald

Two thing must be done in order to for elections to continue peacefully, the commission concluded: 1) a political dialogue between all the political actors, and 2) a full examination of the of the electoral machine on a technical aspect to prevent the irregularities often assimilated to massive fraud.
