Haiti Elections - CEP Postpones Meeting with Political Party Leaders at El Rancho

Haiti Elections Update -- Members of the Electoral Council (CEP) were scheduled to meet with political parties leaders at El Rancho Friday but this meeting was cancelled at the last minute.

The CEP gave the following reason for the sudden postponement:

A set of data on the agenda of that meeting, information regarding contentious proceedings under the Office of the departmental electoral dispute (BCEDs) and the national electoral dispute office (BCEN), is not available, judges have not yet finished deliberating;

Second reason:

The entire documentation on cases of violence registered on election day of August 9 and the prosecutions to be undertaken could not be completed on time, contrary to the forecasts made by the CEP.

What do you think about that?
